History
The Toledo Ski Club was founded in 1947. It's members wanted to ski and be with people who liked to ski. The Club owned a lodge at the base of Boyne Mountain near the base of the current Super Bowl area. On New Years Eve 1961 there was a fire that burned the lodge to the ground and everything was destroyed. There are pictures of the fire in the Lodge. There is even a 16mm movie of the fire that was recently discovered. The members then purchased the land where the current Lodge is located in Boyne City. The following several years members volunteered to drive to the Walloon Lake/Boyne City property and built the current Lodge. The Lodge was built by TSC members. Nothing was hired out. Due to the fire, you will notice our current Lodge has many fire extinguishers.

In the late 80's the Toledo Ski Club purchased land in Toledo and started the process of designing and building a local clubhouse. The Club sold bonds to it's members to finance the construction. Construction started and the volunteer members built the local ClubHaus on Hill Avenue. The Club later sold the front portion of the property to the UT/MCO Credit Union. The ClubHaus and property were sold on September 25, 2008 to Maumee Valley Save A Pet.
